To maximize your membership experience, follow these simple steps:

Start off on the right foot to get the most out of your membership. As you begin your NATA journey, here are a few important steps to take.

Log on and Explore

To access members-only online content, you must be logged onto the website. So, of course, you'll need a username and password. Upon approval of your membership application, you'll receive instructions on how to set up your new member account. If you need assistance, contact our team at nataoffice@natanet.org or 800-966-6282.

Your member account will grant you single sign-on access to: MemberHub, where you can update your contact information, view your continuing education progress, and access your invoice and payment history; and NATA Connect, where you can fully engage with your NATA peers in our thriving online community.

Complete / Update your Member Profile

We want to know a little bit about you so we can deliver the content and communications that you'll find most valuable, and so other members with similar interests and needs can connect with you. Maintaining current contact information is critical to sustaining a meaningful membership experience. You'll update your basic contact information in MemberHub, and a more comprehensive profile in NATA Connect.

Join the Discussion

Discover, share, and connect with others through our members-only social network, NATA Connect. Join discussion groups of interest to you and start sharing ideas with your peers.

Mark Your Calendar

Find a webinar or virtual meetup that will help take your congregation and your career to the next level.

Now that you've covered the basics, you are sure to get the most out of your NATA membership when you get connected to the people, programs, information, and resources that NATA offers. Our long-term members have overwhelming indicated that the secret to their longevity and success is the support they receive from their NATA peers.

Connect with Other Members

It's easy to connect with your peers in NATA Connect! This member-to-member resource and networking hub is where you'll join group discussions, post questions, access sample policies, forms, documents, and more.

Connect with your Onboarding Coach

Your NATA Onboarding Coach is here to help you navigate your new association and help you take advantage of its benefits. Your coach should reach out to you within 2 weeks of your membership application acceptance. If you do not hear from them, please contact the NATA office at nataoffice@natanet.org.

Attend a Virtual Discussion Event

NATA offers between 6 to 8 monthly discussion forums via Zoom. These forums are a great way to interact with other members, match names to faces, and get feedback and answers to your questions in real time. Check out the Event Calendar and RSVP to any event in NATA Connect.

Join a Regional Group

Want to meet some local peeps and talk about issues in your geographical area? Search the Regional Group Directory for a group in your area or ask your Onboarding Coach. These groups are not managed by NATA and they all have their own meeting schedules and formats.

Request a Mentor

Do you need more in-depth one-on-one support? We can help! Our mentorship coordinator will connect you with another experienced synagogue executive to help you on your professional journey. To get started, completed the Mentor Request Form.

Take the Next Step . . . Get Involved!

Whether you choose to get involved to gain leadership opportunities, build your resume, increase your congregation's exposure, or give back to your profession and your peers, you'll find a meaningful way to participate in the NATA community.

Contribute

NATA's resources draw heavily on the knowledge and experience of our members. You can contribute in a number of ways.

  • Write a Blog Article. Do you have wisdom to share? Your peers are waiting! If you'd like to explore an idea for a blog article, contact the NATA office at nataoffice@natanet.org to talk more. We'd love to hear from you!
  • Share a Sample Document. Our members are always looking for sample resources in all areas of synagogue management. There is no need to reinvent the wheel when we can all learn from each other. Log into NATA Connect and post your best work for others to benefit from.
  • Become a Presenter. Submit your idea for an educational session to be presented virtually or at our in-person annual conference.

Volunteer

As a peer-to-peer support organization, NATA is fueled by its robust pool of volunteers and lay leaders. NATA offers a variety of ways for our members to get involved, from short-term projects to ongoing committee membership and board service. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more about ways you can deepen your engagement with NATA and your peers.
